The days of writing things by hand or even typing them on a typewriter have long, long passed. One of the few places where pen and paper is still regularly used is in the school environment, and even this is beginning to diminish as children are given laptops and other technological devices with which to make notes.
So quickly the days of writing things by hand have been surpassed by the days of typing or texting at lightning pace. Many offices now use handheld technological devices like tablet computers in order to write and send documents.
There may be a day when we no longer need ink of any kind, but thankfully we are not there yet. We still use pens, and we definitely still use printers which use epson ink cartridges. Even with fancy tablet PCs there are still times when we need to print.
There are even people who think best when writing by hand. And yet even this old fashioned side of writing has a technological twist. Even pens have become technological.
There are pens which have an infrared camera which records what you are writing as you write. You can then plug the pen into a computer and transfer your written work into a typed work with absolutely no effort. Technology is making writing by hand a technological experience.
