I may be generalising, but from what I have seen, many people over the age of around forty do not understand the full power of exactly what is on offer from their local telephone company and I am talking here about products for the home not for the business.
Whereas once you could rely on your local telecoms company to enable you to make calls and pretty much that was about it – now there is a dazzling array of products and services which apparently would enhance your life if only you were to subscribe to this product or that special offer.
You can now buy anything from virtual numbers to internet packages and if you own a mobile phone you will be spoilt for choice amongst the hundreds of different inclusive packages on offer.
Before you are tempted by a new special offer or pressured to extend your current packages, have a good look at what is on offer and try to compare objectively. It can be difficult to even understand what exactly is on offer in some cases.
Decide what you need across the whole range of things, including home phone, internet and mobile and compare the packages across the range or you may end up subscribing impulsively to services that will cost you dear but which you will never use.
